Kommander Jancovich

The Kommander has had his head replaced with a head from a Vindicare Assassin because to me Kommanders would always have the best equipment in the Neo Soviet army so it seemed odd he didn’t have a gas mask as well. I then used the a Vangaurd arm holding a Kalashnikov to arm the […]

Chem Grunts

I painted two out of the three Chem Grunts in rags. The third was painted in an old white doctor coat, he is probably one of those few nutcases who sign up volunterily for the Chem grunts.

Vanguards

Larger photo The Vanguards have the same basic clothing colours as the Rad Troopers but with better painted armour plates to show that although they still have crap equipment it is by far better than the Rad Troopers equipment. Some of the Vanguards have hand a “hand-job” to give them rad grenades and one have had his […]

Cyclops

I want the cyclops to stand out from the rest of the Neo Soviets as something unholy and something that shouldn’t have been made/ created. To do that I choose to paint them in a very drastic colour scheme, starting with black and highlighting all the way to white to make the look really rough […]

Rad Troopers – Assault weapons.

Larger photo Larger photo Very basic paint scheme to really get the feel across that these guys have the worst uniforms and weapons in the whole Maelstrom.

Typhoon with Chaingun

This Typhoon is scratch-built using some VOID minis and other unknown minis. Not the best weapon of the soviet army. If you want a Typhoon you should definetly build a Typhoon with a Mortar instead. Much much better value.

Team Mutant

To be able to field my ML1-Irontusk mutant I needed a handler and at least one other mutant. However, the Rad Beast have always looked good to me so I painted three of them. As I needed these guys fast for a rapidly approaching game weekend, I have to speed paint them in order to be able […]

ML1-Irontusk

About the mini As soon as I heard VOR was returning I knew I would have to face Mocaiv, my arch nemesis on the fields of the Maelstrom again so my mind turned to anything heavy and hard hitting. While I do have the Ursa I wanted something a bit unique and decided to go […]

Neo Soviet Custom Mutant Chart

This has to be one of the most useful Neo Soviet resources on the Internet. A Custom Mutant Chart made by Valdric with 100 Custom Muties! Thanks to Valdric for letting me link to his Chart. Go to the 100 Custom Mutant Chart Bull Mutant by Valdric. Nice work but I would have named it “The Killer […]

Neo Soviet Tactics

The Kommander Officers Rad Troopers Vanguards Chem Grunts Cyclops Typhoon All humans are equal, but some humans are more equal than others. Give the Kommander a Kalashnikov to symbolise this line of thought The Kommander Not many yet, since I have only play one game so far with him. Suffice to say giving him a […]

Neo Soviet

Colourscheme I choose to make a clear border between grunts, command section and mutants, since it is clear Rad Troopers not as important as Officers in the Neo Soviet army and community. Red and grey are going to be the colours of Officers and Kommanders, so they stand out from the Eastern European brownish camouflage […]
