My brother has one of the original Dragon Ogre miniatures. I would love to paint one too but they are so hard to find.
But I did have a chance to get one the second waves of Dtagon Ogres from the 1998.
First of I have to say they details on this one, the sharpness of the edges etc, were quite poor compared to what I am used to from Games Workshop. The face and the varioys details were quite washed out making it quite hard to paint.
This was frankly a bit frustrating and I don’t think I will buy another one if I get the chance.
I am okay with the result and I will be using it in my Warhammer 40.000 2nd edition Orgryn unit as I figured Orks wouldn’t hesitate a half Ogryn, half dragon, nor would an Ogryn mercenary unit!
