DM notes, all previous campaigns since I started DMing again in 2017 have been my own settings but with a “backbone” in Forgotten Realms. This was my first attempt to actively break into another D&D setting: Dragonlance. Belspira, the Tiefling Wizard and owner of “Revered Relics“, Horkum, the Dwarven Monk and Chef at “Munch & […]

Just played a new D&D oneshot… maybe campaign… with some from our old D&D gang in London. It made me think about the parties we have had so far: The A-Team (name came after we started a second party called “The Nightshift”) Nightshift Hellbenders Double Trouble Dawnstar team (not named yet)
So here’s the thing: If I bench mark this against the miniatures I paint for Dungeons & Dragons, I am quite happy with him, but compared to other Kingdom Death Miniatures I have painted, I don’t think I gave this enough time. e.g. Look at Miko or Preacher. I think they are better. But yes, […]
Not really a big fan of this miniature to be honest, but I needed a little Dragon for a game so I speedpainted it and it will do the job. At least I can remove it from my Gallery of Shame.
This was a speed paint job, but I really really like the result. There is something cool about metallic Dragonborn. I’ve only painted one before.
Brother Vinni Miniatures can be a bit on the adult themed side, but their miniatures are really great and these dancing ladies were no different.
One of three heroes I’ve painted up for a oneshot with our old D&D gang from London. I honestly don’t remember where I got this Goblin Ranger miniature from, but I really like it and glad I had a chance to paint it. The heroes together
One of three heroes I’ve painted up for a oneshot with our old D&D gang from London. I like how the armour turned out. Metal with a purple shade, simples. The heroes together
One of three heroes I’ve painted up for a oneshot with our old D&D gang from London. Fun to paint. I like how the colours aren’t super vibrant and constrasty. Little bit annoyed with the grey “shades” from the Vallejo Matt Varnish :/ The heroes together
DM Notes: As I mentioned in the previous chapter, I ended up removing all three characters from existence … and leaving myself in a weird spot for continuing the story. Bottomline was a rule that there was a 50/50 chance of each character leaving the Crystalline Retreat being a double of the original character with the […]
The party had received a delivery task by a man calling himself Basavaraj, a name the party know to be the name of the Info-merchant. However, the delivery task was not a simple one: Deliver a small box to non other than Fierna, the short-tempered co-ruler of Phlegethos. Our heroes first instinct was to bring […]
I’ve had these Shard Striders laying around for a while now. They were intended for a D&D oneshot I have yet to get a chance to run. However, I had this idea of a Mirror Room encounter for D&D and decided to use these two as Mirror Golems. To give them the chrome mirror effect, […]
