Soïm the Zealot Cynwäll Warrior monk
Yes, I know I planned my Cynwäll as a fast paint-for-play army, but Soïm is one fantastic miniature so I did spend somewhat longer on him.
He follows the basics I am using for my whole army, but he differs from the other troops as he is wearing next to no armour (or clothes) so it gave me the opportunity to make more out of his skin.
I painted his body a greenish grey and highlight it with several rounds of skin colour and skin colour mixed with white, to give him a colder, leaner look.
While the rest of the army in time will have marble blades I decided that Soïm as the leader should have a different sword but since I didn't want metal blade I opted to paint his sword in a deep emerald green.
Finally I painted his floating lattern in a deep brownish orange highlighted with various skin tones and then washed with green to create a brass-like colour. The flames was yellow highlighted with red and some pure black to frame it. I painted some yellow areas on the cloth floating over his arms to simulate the flames reflecting in the clothes.
