Bits and Pieces

So you have painted a Ultramarine and done a grand job at it and you are really proud, but then you see somebody else who have painted the same Ultramarine in the same quality and it sort of takes a bit of the pleasure since the two minis look alike, but how could it be different? An Ultramarine looks like Ultramarine right? He is blue right?

Well not really what makes the difference is not the overall paint scheme, the blue, but the bits you add.

Any given miniature can be made individual whether it is an Ultramarine or a Growler by adding tatoos, scars, skin markings, patterens on clothes, bruises, a black eye, the options are endless and the more you use, the more your army will look different and stand out.

If you have extra guns, ammo clips, throwing axes, arrows they will add even more, but also non-combat equipment like blankets, bottles, eye-patch, hats, etc will add a great deal to an army.
