95 years ago, a violent earthquake shook the town of Port Pleasant followed by an enormous shape appearing from the earth itself tearing a huge scar across town killing hundreds of people.
Initially the local Fey living around the nearby volcano were blamed and hunted, but no matter the interrogation, none of the Feyfolk had any insight to share and in time they all disappeared back to the Feywild fearing the superstition of the local townsfolk as much as the huge unknown shape.
Since then the shape has laid dormant and impenetrable and become a recognised feature of the town, that today is only really of interest to the scholars who are attempting (and failing) at unlocking this humongous shape’s secrets.
However, recently the shape has started humming an almost too low to hear tone, which can be felt through the very ground itself.
