I made a couple of grass displays for my two Oldhammer projects: my Night Goblins and my Bad Moon Warband. Basically each is made of a cardboard base, a block of spare foam core and wrapped in a grass sheet. I used hot glue on the styrofoam and regular PVA on the cardboard.

Looking for something else, I found a complete 894 Mobile Ground Tracking Station. Given how difficult it is to find those transparent shields intact, I jumped at the chance. It is not a toy I recognise from my childhood, but I think it is a fantastic little set with quite a lot of interactivity for […]
I didn’t play with the M:TRON theme as it came after I have put my bricks on the shelves. My era was really the early Space Classic. However, during my hobby of rebuilding my old LEGO sets, I came across M:TRON and was fascinated with both the limited amount of sets and the very bright […]
My aim is to keep my LEGO Classic Castle in one bookshelf. And with the addition on the 6073 Knight’s Castle, the shelf is getting a bit cramped. Previously, I already reduced the castle wall area of the Guarded Inn with one castle wall panel to give it more space in front. But while the […]
When I built my brother’s old LEGO Castle sets, I had quite a lot of wall elements left over. But it wasn’t until recently I realised there was a second Black Falcon castle, the Knight’s Castle from 1984. And apart from some 1×1 old gray bricks, some soldier bits and flags missing, I had all […]
Chris Snyder posted a painting challenge on the Crown Command Facebook group: “MAY MULTI—PAINTER MONO-MODEL -Looks like for starters, the 2nd edition 40k starter is the place to start. That’s the plastic Ork and/or basic Space Marine.” Here are the fantastic entries in no particular order. Cameron Fletcher Love the banner. Montague Withnail Nice dark […]
I don’t remember when I bought this miniature (or if I did or my wife did), but it was before we moved to Denmark in 2020. Nor do I remember the maker or when I started painting it! I do remember having a moment where I grabbed a bunch of minis of all races and […]
I actually bought this fantastic Forest Troll back in 2018 together with this Troll Shaman. I really love both these miniatures. They feel so much like fantasy versions of the classic Scandinavian folklore trolls. I did start painting the miniature last year to fit our Troll Hunt campaign, but other miniatures got in the way. […]
To participate in a painting challenge, I bought some Goff Orks from the WH40K 2nd edition starter set. And in the lot came this awesome Ghazghkull that I never bought back in the days mainly because I was against the introdution of named characters to the game. During the previous edition I used to name […]
I painted these as a response to a paint challenge on the Crown Command facebook group. The challenge was to paint a start sprue Ork and/or Space Marine from the Warhammer 40.000 2nd edition starter box. I chose to approach this as I would have back when, which is to say I always painted a […]
This one has been on the drawing board pretty much since I started sorting through my old LEGO bricks 3 months ago. The first prototype can be seen in this landscape and the first floor was completed a month ago. However, this laboratory and hang-out space for astronauts is now finished. It’s been fun populating […]
New people and places Maddox, Baby devil and owner of the dodgy and dingy tavern “Hellhound & Hare“. Basavaraj the Info-merchant and owner of the “Burning Spice Team House“. Previously in Phlegetos People we meet and places we went in Phlegethos last time. In no particular order. Key locations Styxhaven. Small harbour town at the […]
