Dungeons & Dragons – Gaming board set 1 – Woodland

When I started playing Dungeons & Dragons earlier this year, the first scenery things I made were a few simple, traditional dungeon corridors and rooms with square-tiled floors, each 5x 5 feet, for the first adventure.

But I also realised I needed something that would work for the outdoors encounters in the adventure and I wanted to make something that felt more open so I came up with the idea of using hexagon tiles for outside encounters to give the movement a slightly different and more free feel. And to take things to the extreme, I made the whole woodland board one big hexagon.

I also made a few scatter pieces: A cave entrance, a couple of trees and a little stone raise.
