Dungeons & Dragons – Warrior/Cleric with Shield and Sword (Darksword Miniatures)

For our Daisygate campaign, we are continuing to use “The A-Team”, the characters from the previous campaign, but since the campaign is folliowing a “West Marches” style format, we have also introduce “The Nightshift”, which is a new group of adventurers offering us more flexibility in terms of inviting guests and frequency of games for […]

Dungeons & Dragons – Dogs of War Braganza’s Besiegers (Games Workshop)

These are the town guards known as “The Daisy Guard” in our Daisygate campaign. Ia actually bought these a decade ago to use in a Realm of Chaos campaign I ran (yes, using the very old books). At the time I tried out a new method by painting their armour red and drybrush with bronze […]

Dungeons & Dragons – Grand Maester Pycelle and Maester Luwin (Darksword Miniatures)

Now that we are starting a more city based and civilised campaign, I’ve found Darksword Miniatures’ Game of Thrones line great for NPCs such as these two Maesters as Scholars. I do find that the blonde man looks a bit like Jeremy Corbyn Scholars of the Institute of Fairy Studies

Dungeons & Dragons – Sansa Stark and Ladies in Waiting #2 and #4 (Darksword Miniatures)

The George R.R. Martin Masterworks miniatures are fantastic as city NPCs and these three ladies are no exception. The Sansa miniature acts as Baroness Leonilda Von Crupp in our Daisygate campaign. I generally struggle with female faces but I feel these three are better than any I’ve painted before.

Kingdom Death: Monster – Death High Preacher Pinup

I honestly don’t remember when I bought this miniature. It might have been with the flesh golem. I quite like it as it is quite the character for an NPC. Group of NPCs

Dungeons & Dragons – Arabic Warrior on Flying Carpet. (Brother Vinni’s Miniatures)

When I bought the female Djinn at Brother Vinni’s, I also found this Arabic Fighter on a Flying carpet. Really cool miniature. Was fun to paint. I tried to give him a more middle eastern skin tone. It became a bit light ,but overall I’m happy with him.

Dungeons & Dragons – Queen of Shadows (Freebooter Miniatures)

Fantastic and majestic miniature! Leaned on my wife to suggest colours for her. Normally when I paint minis are glue them all together first… to avoid wasting time painting bits that cannot be seen… however, this was a case where I wish I hadn’t glued her skirt on before painting her legs.. or stockings […]
