What started out as a unintended joke, has taken shape and is fast becoming a new entry to my “War of the Triplets” Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I give thee: Bebbie the Beholder Barkeeper, owner of Bebbie’s Bar and boss of the bouncer, Techno Viking! I already have a purpose in my mind and hope to be able to introduce Bebbie to my players in tomorrow’s game! Bebbie is customer made from a Mike Wazowski toy with eye stalks from the D&D beholder miniature. Bebbie in his bar Bebbie on an adventure The original Bebbie Actually, the idea for came…
Two very nice pieces from Black Sun Miniatures, but I’ll have to say the tree had a lot of gaps I have to green stuff.
While shopping the Hasslefree site, I found these village and halloween kids. Wasn’t sure what to use them for originally, but now the Devil Boy is part of a magic item I made up called “White Bag of Tricks” alongside the Angel and the Angel Babies… and I think the Village Kids themselves will feature in Chapter 2 of “War of the Triplets”… maybe.
I hadalready planned to make a Whihte Bag of Tricks magic item, when I received my first ever Darksword Miniatures order… wihch to my surprise contained one tfree miniature: A tiny Angel Baby. Perfect! As you have probably guessed, I’ve had a few other orders since then 🙂
And this is my first Dragon for Dungeons & Dragons! I’m quite pleased with this one.
I got this cool miniature in one amazing box full of minis I got for my birthday and it gave me an idea for a “White Bag of Tricks” magic item from which you can draw various celestial beings including angel babies and a devil boy.
Originally I was looking for Cultists and I found these cool Dark Brethren from Heresy Miniatures, but as I started painting them, I learned of the Shadar-Kai and it gave me a whole new, deeper angle to Chapter 1.5 of “The War of the Triplets” and I repainted the Cultists to look more alien.
Only one player of my War of the Triplets campaign is an experienced D&D player and he decided to play a Tabaxi Cleric… this turned into a crazy challenge as I couldn’t find any Cat People like miniatures in proper armour. In the end I found this mini from Oathsworn Miniatures… it is somewhat bigger than the rest of the party, but at least he has the right gear and it is a pretty cool miniature! A friend of mine who tried Dungeons & Dragons as a kid, decided to join my campaign “War of the Triplets”. As the only player he was toying with the idea of a chaotic evil Drow. In the end he settled for a Chaotic Neutral Drow… but he is playing it borderline Chaotic Evil, I’d say and he is doing a great job at it. This miniature is from Darksword Miniatures, which frankly is rapidly turning into one of my favourite miniature shops. The complete party for “War of the Triplets”
One of my friends is playing Dungeons & Dragons for the first time and when I first spoke to her about it, her first reaction was she wanted to be a big scruffy barbarian guy! However, after having done some research on her own she changed her mind to a Dragonborn Sorcerer, which was an amazing u-turn… and I had actually bought this amazing Dragonkin Mage from Darksword Miniatures so perfect timing. The Dwarf player of my “War of the Triplets” campaign is new to Dungeons and Dragons, but I know his sense of humour so this pipe-smoking, beer guzzling cheeky dwart miniature from Hasslefree Miniatures was perfect. Besides, I’ve always wanted to paint Hasslefree minis, but since I only paint what I can play with, I’ve never had much of an excuse to buy some… now I do. My partner is new to Dungeons & Dragons and se chose to be a High Elf Ranger, who has had to exile himself for various reasons. However, when we were browsing for a miniature for her, she found two art Darksword Miniatures that she liked and in the end we got both and I painted them the same so she can swap them around as she pleases. Wat was interesting was, I would have defaulted to painting them green-ish like a classic Ranger had she not had a clear mind in her head of what she wanted him to look…
